Daikoku (or Daikokuten 大黒天), is one of the Seven Gods of Fortune in Japan. He is generally represented as shown here, in rich Chinese dress and head gear, sitting on a bale of rice, with his treasure-bag and mallet beside him. He smiles at two tame rats playing on his lap.
